rned Magistrate did and the pleas of not guilty to the robbery charge remained good.

 an authority for the proposition put forward by Mr. Shankar; it holds that where an accused has a right of election the court has to inform him personally of that right and not simply mention it to his counsel. However, once the accused has been personal
ly informed of his right then his counsel may answer on the accused}{\fs24\lang2057\langfe1033\langnp2057\insrsid15089353 '}{\fs24\lang2057\langfe1033\langnp2057\insrsid6513684 s behalf stating whether he wishes to be tried by the Mag}{
