WORKMEN’S COMPENSATION (AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 21 OF 2013


An Act to amend the Workmen’s Compensation Act [CAP 202].


Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-


1 Amendment
The Workmen’s Compensation Act [CAP 202] is amended as set out in the Schedule.


2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE
AMENDMENTS OF WORKMEN’S COMPENSATION ACT [CAP 202]


1 Clause 1 of the Schedule
Delete “two million” substitute “eight million six hundred and forty thousand vatu”


2 Clause 3 of the Schedule
Repeal the clause, substitute


“3. The amount payable for any of the following injuries is to be calculated as a percentage of the amount payable for total disability in accordance with the following scale, except that in no case the total amount payable is to exceed the amount payable for total disability:
