VANUATU AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL CENTRE (AMENDMENT)
ACT NO. 9 OF 2008

An Act to amend the Vanuatu Agricultural Research and Technical Centre Act
[CAP 286].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows:

1 Amendment

The Vanuatu Agricultural Research and Technical Centre Act [CAP 286] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF THE VANUATU AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL CENTRE ACT
[CAP 286]

1 Paragraphs 19(3)(a) to (e)

Repeal the paragraphs, substitute

"(a) a senior scientist in the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development or his or her representative;

(b) a person nominated by the Syndicat Agricole;

(c) a person nominated by the Chamber of Commerce;

(d) the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development or his or her representative;

(e) the Director of the Vanuatu Quarantine Inspection Services;

(f) the Director of the Department of Co-operative and Rural Business Development, or his or her representative."
