STRATA (AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 8 OF 2013

An Act to amend the Strata Titles Act [CAP 266].
Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendment
The Strata Titles Act [CAP 266] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

AMENDMENTS OF STRATA TITLES ACT [CAP 266]

1 After Section 1
Insert

“1A Application of certain provisions of the Strata Titles Act [CAP 266]

The provisions of the Strata Titles Act [CAP 266] that relate to a strata plan that contains a subdivision of land, apply only to a strata plan that contains a subdivision of land which was registered before the commencement of the Strata Titles (Amendment) Act No. 7 of 2013.

1B Prohibition on subdivision of land under a strata plan

(1) A strata plan must not contain any subdivision of land.

(2) A strata plan that contains a subdivision of land must not be registered under this Act or any other Act, on or after the commencement of the Strata Titles (Amendment) Act No. 7 of 2013.”
