REPUBLIC OF VANUATU

RESERVE BANK (AMENDMENT) ACT
NO. 17 OF 2002

An Act to amend the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu Act [CAP 125].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendments
   

The Reserve Bank of Vanuatu Act [CAP 125] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement
   

This Act commences on 1 January 2003.

AMENDMENTS OF THE RESERVE BANK ACT [CAP 125]

1. At the end of section 3
   

Add

“; and

(f) to regulate and supervise domestic and international (offshore) banks.”

Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu Act [CAP 125] to provide for the Bank to regulate and supervise domestic and international (offshore) banks.
