THE RESERVE BANK OF VANUATU (AMENDMENT) ACT
No. 20 OF 1989

To amend the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu Act No. 3 of 1980 as amended.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:-

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 8A OF ACT No. 3 OF 1980

1. Section 8A of the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu Act, is amended, in subsection (1):

(a) by deleting after the word "years" the following phrase:-

"and shall be eligible for re-appointment."

(b) by substituting therefor the following:-

"and may with the prior approval of the Prime Minister on the recommendation of the Minister be eligible for re-appointment."

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
