(AMENDMENT)
ACT NO. 20 OF 2021

An Act to amend the Parliament (Members’ Expenses and Allowances) Act
[CAP 109].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendment

The Parliament (Members’ Expenses and Allowances) Act [CAP 109] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF PARLIAMENT (MEMBERS’ EXPENSES AND ALLOWANCES) ACT [CAP 109]

1. At the end of section 4B

Add

“(3) A Member or Chairperson of a Parliamentary Committee (other than the Prime Minister, any Ministers and the Leader of Opposition), is entitled to be paid VT 7,500 per day to meet his or her accommodation for the duration of the meetings of such Committee.”
