PASSPORTS (AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 16 OF 2014

An Act to amend the Passports Act No. 20 of 2009.

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendment
The Passports Act No. 20 of 2009 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement
This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE
AMENDMENTS OF PASSPORTS ACT NO. 20 OF 2009

1 After section 4A
Insert

“4B Issue of diplomatic Passport to a Honorary Consul

(1) Despite subsection 4A(1), the Director may, on application, issue a Vanuatu diplomatic passport to a person who is not a citizen of Vanuatu and who holds the office of Honorary Consul under the Consular Program.

(2) Subsections 4A (3) to (7) apply in relation to this section.”
