NAGOYA PROTOCOL ON ACCESS TO GENETIC RESOURCES AND THE FAIR AND EQUITABLE SHARING OF BENEFITS ARISING FROM THEIR UTILIZATION TO THE CONVENTION ON BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY (RATIFICATION) ACT NO. 7 OF 2014

An Act to provide for the ratification of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Ratification

The Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity is ratified.

A copy of the Protocol is attached.

2 Commencement

This Act comes into force on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.
