THE LAND LEASES (AMENDMENT) ACT

No. 30 OF 1988

An Act to amend the Land Leases Act No. 4 of 1983.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows: -

AMENDMENT OF THE SCHEDULE TO THE ACT No. 4 OF 1983

1. The Schedule to the Land Leases Act No. 4 of 1983 as amended is further amended by the repeal of subparagraph (b) of paragraph 3 and the substitution therefor of the following paragraph:

“(b) The Government, any Local Government Council, any Municipal Council and the National Housing Corporation shall be exempted from payment of any fees under this Act.”

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
