CUSTOMARY LAND TRIBUNAL (AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 2 OF 2011

An Act to amend the Customary Land Tribunal Act [CAP 271].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendment
   

The Customary Land Tribunal Act [CAP 271] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement
   

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE
AMENDMENTS OF Customary Land Tribunal Act [CAP 271]

1 Subsection 3(1) (definition of Director)

Delete the definition, substitute “Director General means the Director General responsible for land tribunal;”

2. Subsection 3(1) (definition of Minister)
   

Delete “lands”, substitute “land tribunal”

3. Subsection 34(2)

After “Director”, insert “General”

4 Paragraph 38(1)(c)

After “Director”, insert “General”

5 Section 40 (Heading)

After “Director”, insert “General”

6 Subsection 40(1), paragraphs 40(1)(a), (b), (d), subsections 40(2) and (3)

After “Director” (wherever occurring), insert “General”
