BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION (AMENDMENT)
ACT NO. 21 OF 2018

An Act to amend the Broadcasting and Television Act [CAP 214].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendment

The Broadcasting and Television Act [CAP 214] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION ACT [CAP 214]

1. Paragraphs 10(1)(c), (d), (e) and (f)

Repeal the paragraphs.

2. Paragraph 17(1)(c)

Delete “in the course of the discharge of its functions”, substitute “through fees charged in the course of rendering its services”

3. Sections 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 and 54

Repeal the sections.
