PRICE CONTROL (CONSUMER PROTECTION) REGULATION

Order 17 of 1995

To protect consumers from being misled by inaccurate retail prices.

1. Prohibition of misleading retail prices
No retailer shall sell goods at a retail price higher than that at which he has displayed, offered for sale or advertised such goods (whether such higher price arises from the retailer making provision for the business licence fee on turnover payable by him or otherwise).
