LABOUR (WORK PERMITS) (EXEMPTION)
(RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS)


Order 17 of 1993


To provide for exemption from labour work permits for certain persons working for religious institutions and establishments in Vanuatu.


1. Exemption from labour work permits
The class of persons listed in the Schedule hereto are exempted from the requirements of labour work permits.


2. Qualifications
The persons to whom the provisions of this Order apply shall be persons of religious standing engaged in religious activities in religious institutions or establishments, and who must have attained the age of 55 years or over, and who must have resided in Vanuatu for 10 years or over.

1. Priesthood −


Ordained Ministers of Churches or Denominations.

Includes:
Bishops
Priests or Pastors
Deacons
Missionaries or Apostles


2. Sisterhood −


Nuns or sisters


3. Brotherhood −


Brothers
