DIPLOMATIC PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES
(EBAS)


Order 25 of 2001


To provide for the representatives and other officers of the EU-ACP Business Assistance Scheme Pacific Regional Office (EBAS) to enjoy the privileges and immunities set out in schedule 3 and 4 of the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act [Cap. 143] (“the Act”.


1. Privileges and Immunities of Representatives of EBAS
(1) The representatives of EBAS are to enjoy the privileges and immunities set out in schedule 3 of the Act and as specified in Schedule 1 of this Order.


(2) The privileges and immunities mentioned in subsection (1) apply only to persons who are nationals of a European Union member state.


2. Privileges and Immunities of other officers and servants of EBAS
(1) The officers and servants of EBAS are to enjoy the privileges and immunities set out in schedule 4 of the Act and as specified in Schedule 2 of this Order.


(2) The privileges and immunities mentioned in subsection (1) apply only to persons who are nationals of a European Union member state.

Duty-free entry of personal and family items
Duty-free entry of one vehicle for official use
Duty-free entry of one vehicle for personal use

To provide for the privileges and immunities of EU-ACP Business Assistance Scheme (EBAS) Regional Office.


1. Privileges and immunities
The EU-ACP Business Assistance Scheme (EBAS) Regional Office will have and enjoy the privileges and immunities set out in Schedule 2 of the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act [Cap. 143] and the legal capacities of a body corporate.
