FISHERIES MANAGEMENT (CONSERVATION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2014

FISHERIES MANAGEMENT ACT

The Minister of Agriculture, Food, Forests and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 101 of the Fisheries Management Act 2002, makes the following Regulations -

1 Short Title

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries Management (Conservation) (Amendment) Regulations 2014.

(2) These regulations shall commence on 1st October 2014.

(3) In these regulations the Fisheries Management (Conservation) Regulations 2008 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

2 Regulation 26 of Principal Regulations (relating to Sea Cucumber and Beche-De-Mer) amended

Regulation 26 of the Principal Regulations is amended, at the end of sub-regulation (4) by inserting the following –

"Provided that relating to the year 2014 only, beche-de-mer or sea cucumber that have lawfully been taken on or before 30 September 2014 may be possessed up until 31 October 2014, for the purpose of being processed and exported.".
