1988-89 SUPPLEMENTARY DEVELOPMENT FUND APPROPRIATION (NO.2) ACT, 1989

AN ACT

TO APPROPRIATE MONEYS TO THE SERVICE OF THE GOVERNMENT

[15th June, 1989.]

BE IT ENACTED by the King and Legislative Assembly of Tonga in the Legislature of the Kingdom as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the 1988-89 Supplementary Development Fund Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 1989.

2. There shall be issued from the Development Fund of the Kingdom and applied to the service of the year ending the 30th June 1989 any sum or sums not exceeding one hundred and forty three thousands pa'anga in addition to the amount approved by the 1988-89 Development Fund Appropriation Act, 1988, for defraying the charge of the Government of Tonga for such period in the manner expressed in the Schedule to this Act.

3. The Treasurer shall issue and pay such sum or sums of money for the purposes set out in the Schedule not exceeding in whole the sums respectively specified in that behalf is the Prime Minister shall by warrant under his hand direct.

4. The moneys granted by this Act are intended for the service in respect of which moneys will become payable within the financial year ending 30th June, 1989 and any balance thereof unused at the end of the month of June, 1989, shall lapse and not be available for making payment in any subsequent month.
