AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE TWENTY-SEVEN MILLION THREE HUNDRED AND NI\IETY THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWO DOLLARS TO THE SERVICE OF THE YEAR ENDING 31st DECEMBER 2008.

THE 2008 SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION
(N0.2) ACT 2008


Short title and commencement


1. This Act may be cited as the 2008 Supplementary Appropriation (No.2) Act 2008 and is deemed to have come into effect on the date it is assented to by the Governor General.


Authorisation and appropriation of $27,390,702


2. (1) The issue from the Consolidated Fund is hereby authorised of a sum of twenty-seven million three hundred and ninety thousand seven hundred and two dollars to be applied to the service of the year ending 31st December 2008.


(2) The sum specified in subsection (1) shall be deemed to have been appropriated as from the commencement of this Act under section 1 for supply for the heads specified and in the amounts respectively specified in relation thereto in the Schedule.


Contingencies warrants not exceeding $5,000,000
Cap 120


3. The total sums authorised by contingencies warrants issued by the Minister under section 15 of the Public Finance and Audit Act from the commencement of this Act under section 1 until the end of the financial year 2008 in respect of Heads of Recurrent Expenditure, shall not exceed five million dollars.
