Organic Law on the Duties and Responsibilities of Leadership (Amendment No.2) Law 2606


Being a Law to amend the Organic Law on the Duties and Responsibilities of Leadership,


MADE by the National Parliament, to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.


TRIBUNALS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 27).


Section 27 is amended in Subsection (4) by repealing the words "without regard to legal formalities or the rules of evidence" and replacing them with the words "with legal formalities and in strict compliance with the rules of evidence and the provisions of the Evidence Act, (Chapter 48).".

CERTIFICATE UNDER SECTION 14.


I, JEFFERY NAPE, Speaker of the National Parliament, hereby certify that the requirements of Section 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Constitution were complied with in respect of the Organic Law on the Duties and Responsibilities of Leadership (Amendment No. 2) Law 2006 and that the law was made by the National Parliament as follows:-


(a) the first vote was taken on 4 May 2006 when the number of seats in the National Parliament were 109 and those voting for the proposal were 78 and 3 voted against the proposal; and


(b) the second vote was taken on 8 November 2006 when the number of seats in the National Parliament were 109 and those voting for the proposal were 73 and 5 voted against the proposal.
