ARRANGEMENT OF SECTION.

Interpretation (Amendment of Section 1).

No. 57 of 2015.

AN ACT

entitled

Merchant Shipping (Amendment) Act 2015,

Being an Act to amend the Merchant Shipping Act (Chapter 242),

MADE by the National Parliament.

INTERPRETATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 1).

Section 1 of the Principal Act is amended -

(a) by repealing the definition of "continental shelf and replacing it with the following new definition:

• ""continental shelf has the meaning given to it in the Maritime Zones Act 2015;"; and

(b) by adding, after the definition of "Government ship", the following new definition:

• ""inland waterways" mean lakes, rivers, inlets or canals within internal waters of Papua New Guinea which provide shipping and transportation of goods and services which are regulated by this Act;".
