An Act

entitled

Medical Registration (Amendment) Act 2016,

Being an Act to amend the Medical Registration Act (Chapter 398) to remove fees and charges powers, and for related purposes,

MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.

1. APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 21).

Section 21 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), Paragraph (b), Subparagraph (iii), by deleting the words "prescribed by the Board".

2. APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 30).

Section 30 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), Paragraph (b), Subparagraph (iii), by deleting the words "prescribed by the Board".

3. APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 40).

Section 40 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), Paragraph (b), Subparagraph (iii), by deleting the words "prescribed by the Board".

4. ANNUAL FEE (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 59).

Section 59 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the words "as the Board prescribes" and inserting the following words:

"as is fixed".

5. APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 86).

Section 86 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), Paragraph (b), Subparagraph (iii), by deleting the words "prescribed by the Council".

6. APPLICATION FOR ENROLMENT (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 92).

Section 92 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), Paragraph (b), Subparagraph (iii), by deleting the words "prescribed by the Council".

7. APPLICATION FOR ENROLMENT (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 98).

Section 98 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), Paragraph (b), Subparagraph (iii), by deleting the words "prescribed by the Council".

8. ANNUAL FEE (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 115).

Section 115 of the Principal Act is amended by deleting the words "as the Council prescribes" and inserting the following words:

"as is fixed".

9. APPLICATION TO CONDUCT HOSPITAL (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 123).

Section 123 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2), Paragraph (b), Subparagraph (iv), by deleting the words "prescribed by the Board".

10. CONTINUANCE OF FORMER ACTS, ETC.

All acts, matters or things done or suffered or deemed to have been done or suffered or taken, or procedural steps taken under or for the purposes of the Principal Act and having effect immediately before the coming into operation of this Act, shall, after that coming into operation, continue in full force and effect until those acts, matters, things or procedural steps are otherwise replaced.
