An Act

entitled

Lutheran University (Amendment) Act 2014,

Being an Act to repeal the Lutheran University of Papua New Guinea Act 2012 and to bring into operation the Lutheran University of Papua New Guinea Act 2006,

MADE by the National Parliament.

1. REPEAL OF UNIVERSITY OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA ACT 2012.

The Lutheran University of Papua New Guinea Act 2012 is repealed.

2. COMMENCEMENT OF LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA ACT 2006.

(1) For any avoidance of doubt, the University of Papua New Guinea Act 2006 is deemed to have come into operation on the commencement of this Act.

(2) The commencement clause in the Lutheran University of Papua New Guinea Act 2006 is repealed and replaced with the following:

"Made by the National Parliament to come into operation on the commencement of the Lutheran University (Amendment) Act 2014.".

CHANGE OF NAME.

The title "Lutheran University of Papua New Guinea Act 2006" is amended by deleting the words "of Papua New Guinea" wherever they appear in the Lutheran University of Papua New Guinea Act 2006.
