Lukautim Pikinini (Child)(Amendment) Act 2014.

Being an Act to amend the Lukautim Pikinini (Child) Act 2009,

MADE by the National Parliament.

ORDERS FOR TRANSFER (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 97).

Section 97 of the Principal Act is amended –

(a) in Subsection (1) by adding after the word "(child)" (first occuring) the following:

"and after consultation with the Director of the Juvenile Justice Service"; and

(b) in Subsection 4(b) by repealing Subparagraph (i) and replacing it with the following:

"(i) if the person is a child below the age of 18 years and subject to agreement of the Director of the Juvenile Justice Service, to a juvenile institution within the meaning of the Juvenile Justice Act 2014".
