An Act

entitled

Civil Registration (Amendment) Act 2016,

Being an Act to amend the Civil Registration Act (Chapter 304), and for related purposes,

MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.

1. APPLICATION FOR SEARCH OR OFFICIAL COPY (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 21).

Section 21 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (3) by deleting the words "and payment of the prescribed fee".

2. REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 61).

Section 61 of the Principal Act is amended by repealing Paragraph (b).

3. CONTINUANCE OF FORMER ACTS, ETC.

All acts, matters or things done or suffered or deemed to have been done or suffered or taken, or procedural steps taken under or for the purposes of the Principal Act and having effect immediately before the coming into operation of this Act, shall, after that coming into operation, continue in full force and effect until those acts, matters, things or procedural steps are otherwise replaced.
