Constitutional Amendment No. 33 - Sovereign Wealth Fund Law 2012.


Being a Law to amend the Constitution,


MADE by the National Parliament.


NEW SUBDIVISION VIII.1.AA


The Constitution is amended by adding after Subdivision VIII.1.A the following new subdivision:


"Subdivision AA. — The Sovereign Wealth Fund.


"212A. SOVEREIGN WEALTH FUND.


(1) There is established a fund to be called Sovereign Wealth Fund.


"(2) An Organic Law may make further provision in respect of the Sovereign Wealth Fund.".

CERTIFICATE UNDER SECTION 14.


I, JEFFERY NAPE, Speaker of the National Parliament, hereby certify that the requirements of Section 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Constitution were complied with in respect of the Constitutional Amendment No. 34 - Sovereign Wealth Fund Law and that the law was made by the National Parliament as follows:–


(a) the first vote was taken on 20 December 2011 when the number of seats in the National Parliament was 109 and those voting for the proposal were 73 and none voted against the proposal; and


(b) the second vote was taken on 22 February 2012 when the number of seats in the National Parliament was 109 and those voting for the proposal were 80 and none voted against the proposal.
