SCHEDULE

AN ACT

entitled

Bookmaking (Budget Provisions) Act 1992,

Being an Act to amend the Bookmaking Act (Chapter 265),

MADE by the National Parliament to be deemed to have come into operation on 10 November 1992.

1. INTERPRETATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 1).

Section 1 of the Principal Act is amended -

(a) by repealing the definition of "Chief Collector"; and
(b) by inserting immediately before the definition of "credit bet" the following:-

• "'Commissioner General' means the Commissioner General of Internal Revenue appointed under Section 6 of the Income Tax Act 1959;".

2. ANNUAL FEES (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 9).

Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended by repealing the amount "K5000.00" and replacing it with the following:-

"K20, 000.00".

3. DEPOSITS BY LICENSED BOOKMAKERS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 10).

Section 10(1) of the Principal Act is amended -

(a) in Paragraph (a), by repealing the amount "K5000.00" and replacing it with the following:-

• "K30,000.00"; and

(b) in Paragraph (b), by repealing the amount "K5000.00" and replacing it with the following:-

• "K50, 000.00".

4. FURTHER AMENDMENTS.

The Principal Act is further amended in accordance with the Schedule.
