REPUBLIC OF NAURU

SUPPLY ACT 1974

(NO. 3 OF 1974)

AN ACT

To make interim provision for the withdrawal of moneys from the Treasury Fund and the Nauru Housing Fund to meet certain expenditure in the first quarter of the financial year ending on the Thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy five.

Enacted by the Parliament of Nauru as follows:

SHORT TITLE

1. This Act may be cited as the Supply Act 1974.

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act shall come into force on the First day of July, One thousand nine hundred and seventy four and shall cease to have effect on the First day of October, One thousand nine hundred and seventy four, or upon the coming into operation of the appropriation law in respect of the financial year ending on the Thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and seventy five, whichever is the earlier.

TREASURY FUND

3. The amount of two million five hundred and twenty one thousand one hundred dollars may be withdrawn from the Treasury Fund and expended for the services of the Republic in the manner specified in the Schedule to this Act.

NAURU HOUSING FUND

4. Where moneys are withdrawn from the Treasury Fund and expended in accordance with the Schedule for the erection, maintenance and repair of Nauruan housing the Treasury Fund shall be reimbursed from the Nauru Housing Fund to the extent of that expenditure and the Nauru Housing Fund is charged accordingly.
