Customs Tariff (Amendment) Act 2004


(No. 19 of 2004)


AN ACT

To amend the Customs Tariff Act 1997-1998.

(Certified: 26th November 2004)

  1. Short Title

1.

(i) This Act may be cited as the Customs Tariff (Amendment) Act 2004.
(ii) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Customs Tariff Act 1997-2004.
  1. Definitions

2. "Act" means Customs Tariff Act 1997-1998.

  1. Commencement

3. This Schedule shall come into force upon the date of certification by the Speaker.

  1. Repeal and addition of the Schedule

4. The Schedule of the Act is repealed and added is the following schedule :

$220 per 1,000 cigarettes
Cigars and tobacco
$110 per 500 grams
Spirits
$22 per litre
Wine & champagne
$7 per litre
Beer
$ 1.25 per 375 ml
Petrol
$0.10 per litre
Automotive Distillate
$0.30 per litre
Cosmetics/Perfumes
50% of purchase price
Motor cycles
25% of purchase price
Motor cars
25% of purchase price
Parts & accessories for motor cycles & cars
25% of purchase price
Other vehicles
25% of purchase price
