PRESCRIPTION OF SALARIES ACT (AMENDMENT) (NO.1) DECREE 1990.

A DECREE TO AMEND THE SCHEDULE TO THE PRESCRIPTION OF
SALARIES ACT

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President and Commander-in- Chief of the Republic of Fiji and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree-

Short title

1. This Decree may be cited as the Prescription of Salaries Act (Amendment) (No.1) Decree 1990.

Schedule amended

2. The Schedule to the Prescription of Salaries Act is amended-

(a) by deleting in the item relating to the President, (under the heading ‘Salary’) the figures $42,823 and substituting the figures $45,392;

(b) by deleting in the item relating to Supervisor of Elections (under the heading ‘Salary’) the figures and words ‘$23,677 - $24,568 - $25,458 per annum’ and substituting the figures and words ‘$25,098 - $26,041 - $26,985 per annum’;

(c) by deleting in the item relating to Director of Public Prosecutions (under the heading ‘Salary’) the figures and words $33,764 per annum’ and substituting the figures and words ‘$35,790 per annum’;

(d) by deleting in the item relating to Ombudsman (under the heading ‘Salary’) the figures ‘$33,765 per annum’ and substituting the figures and words ‘$35,790 per annum’;

(e) by deleting in the item relating to Auditor-General (under the heading ‘Salary’) the figures and words ‘$33,764 per annum’ and substituting the figures and words ‘$35,790 per annum’.

Commencement

3. This Decree shall be deemed to have come into force on 1 July, 1989
