AN ACT

TO AMEND THE PENSIONS ACT 1983

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji—

Short title and commencement

1.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Pensions (Budget Amendment) Act 2017.

(2) This Act comes into force on 1 August 2017.

(3) In this Act, the Pensions Act 1983 is referred to as the "Principal Act".

Section 10 deleted

2. The Principal Act is amended by deleting section 10.

Schedule 5 amended

3. Schedule 5 to the Principal Act is amended in paragraph 8(1) by deleting ", with a maximum pension of two-thirds of that current pay".
