AN ACT

TO AMEND THE JUDGES' REMUNERATION AND EMOLUMENTS ACT

[1 August, 1992]

ENACTED by the Parliament of Fiji.

Short title and commencement

1. This Act may be cited as the Judges' Remuneration and Emoluments (Amendment) (No. 1) Act 1993 and shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of August, 1992.

Section 2 amended

2. Subsection (1) of Section 2 of the Judges' Remuneration and Emoluments Act is amended as follows:-

(a) in relation to the salary of the Chief Justice, by deleting the expression and figures "$50,112" and the substitution thereof of the expression and figures "$61,279";

(b) in relation to the salary of the President of the Court of Appeal, by deleting the expression and figures "$46,832" and the substitution thereof of the expression and figures "$57,924";

(c) in relation to the salary of the Resident Justice of Appeal by deleting the expression and figures "$45,147" and the substitution thereof of the expression and figures "$55,687"; and

(d) in relation to the salary of a Judge, by deleting the expression and figures "$46,622" and the substitution thereof of the expression and figures "$52,585".
