AN ACT

TO AMEND THE EXCISE ACT

[8th November, 2002]

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands-

Short Title

1. This Act may be cited as the Excise (Budget Amendment) Act 2002 and is deemed to have commenced on 8th November 2002.

Part 1 of Schedule 2 amended

2. Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Excise Act 1986 is amended by-

(a) substituting the expression "116.80 cents" for the expression "113.40 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.01;

(b) substituting the expression "77.87 cents" for the expression "75.60 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.02;

(c) substituting the expression "116.80 cents" for the expression "113.40 cents" and the expression "77.87 cents" for the expression "75.60 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.03;

(d) substituting the expression "$67.31" for the expression "$65.35" in column 3 of Item No. 2.01;

(e) substituting the expression "$39.53" for the expression "$38.38" in column 3 of Item No. 2.02;

(f) substituting the expression "$67.31" for the expression "$65.35" and the expression "$39.53" for the expression "$38.3$" in column 3 of Item No. 2.03;

(g) substituting the expression "$1.34" for the expression "$1.30" in column 3 of Item No. 3.00;

(h) substituting the expression "$44.36" for the expression "$43.07" in column 3 of Item No. 4.01;

(i) substituting the expression "$25.34" for the expression "$24.60" in column 3 of Item No. 4.03; and

(j) substituting the expression "$44.36" for the expression "$43.07" in column 3 of Item No. 4.04".
