Tips and Tricks

  1. Some of the markup performed by LawCite is heurisitic in nature. Most Canadian cases in particular are linked on the basis of meta-rules. Where very high levels of accuracy are required, the markup should be manually checked following the automatic processing.
  2. Where available, links will be inserted to cases and journal articles referred to. Where there is no freely available version, links will be inserted to the LawCite citator (if the case is in the LawCite database).
  3. At the moment, LawCite will only markup Australian and New Zealand legislation references.
